GLOBE: Evolving Structured Agentic Memory for E-commerce Product Optimization in Generative Search

Teaching AI to remember what works when rewriting product listings

A new system called GLOBE lets AI agents improve their own strategies for rewriting product listings in search results by storing what works in a reusable memory bank. Rather than starting from scratch each time, the system learns effective techniques for different product categories and builds them into an evolving handbook—kind of like an agent writing down its own playbook. Testing showed this approach outperforms traditional methods, and the strategies learned on one product type transfer well to entirely new categories.

Online retailers rely on product listings to appear in generative search results where customers browse. By letting AI systems learn and remember optimization strategies across thousands of products, this approach could significantly improve which listings show up for customer searches and boost sales. The fact that learned strategies transfer across product categories means companies won't need to rebuild optimization systems from scratch for every new product type they sell.
