By combining a four-level quantum channel with a qubit erasure channel, researchers achieved over 0.0001903 private bits per use, proving that a channel's individual capacity doesn't fully predict its value for secure communication.
Quantum communication systems need to send secret messages that eavesdroppers can't intercept.
