SILSA: Sliding-Window Slice Latents for Topology-Preserving High-Resolution 3D Generation
Making 3D shapes faster by tracking them slice by slice instead of piece by piece
A new method called SILSA generates high-resolution 3D objects more efficiently by representing shapes as overlapping cross-sectional slices rather than millions of tiny blocks. It uses 70% fewer computational tokens than competing approaches while actually improving quality—boosting structural accuracy by 9.2% and cutting inference time nearly in half.
Faster and cheaper 3D generation means companies can deploy these models in real-world applications like product design software, game engines, and augmented reality tools without requiring expensive hardware. The method also better preserves thin details and complex shapes that previously fell apart during generation, making the output more reliable for applications where structural integrity matters.
